On Behalf of Dallmitch Holdings, Chestnut Park West is Pleased to Present Newry Station!
Today, I’d like to feature a new residential development project that I’m very excited to be a part of! Located along Highway 23 in the peaceful town of Atwood; only ten minutes south of Listowel, 35 minutes north of Stratford, and just under 45 minutes west of Waterloo is a collection of fully serviced building lots. With phase one set to go on sale this month, a total of 74 lots will become available for purchase – an opportunity we’re sure will appeal to custom home builders based here in Southwestern Ontario.
The name ‘Newry Station Estates’ is itself rooted in the history of small-town Ontario, a subject I’ve been exploring in this blog over the past several weeks. With roots stretching back all the way to 1854, the region surrounding what is now Atwood, Ontario was known as Newry Station prior to 1881. An area characterized by fertile, rolling farmland and defined by the arrival of the railway in the latter half of the 19th Century, Atwood continues to serve as a link between two worlds: the peaceful, rural Ontario of yester-year, and the bustling, cosmopolitan province of today.
Sitting at the geographical heart of Southwestern Ontario, residents of Newry Station will be able to be everywhere from the shores of Lake Huron in the west, to Georgian Bay in the north, to the GTA in the east and London in the south in 90 minutes or less. As the province continues to struggle with the effects of the pandemic and yet another lockdown looms, I really can’t see this past year’s trend of homebuyers seeking an exit from crowded big cities in favour of more affordable digs in small rural centres slowing down anytime soon. Newry Station will be a great opportunity for local builders to help make their clients’ visions a reality at a more affordable cost of entry.
Phase one of Newry Station Estates is projected to be construction-ready by July of this year, with a wide range of lots available: from 22-foot townhomes to 108-foot executive single detached residences, and everything in-between. If this is something that appeals to you, or if you’re just interested in learning more about the development, please reach out directly to me – I’d be happy to help point you in the right direction.
